Musings on my Italy & Croatia Trip / Answering the question of "should I travel?"

I returned from Italy and Croatia a little over two months ago and I have been reliving the wonderful memories ever since. With the ebbing and resurgence of the latest Covid variant I know people are shaking their heads as to whether travel is worth the trouble. My answer is, OH YES DEFINITELY!! If you are fully vaccinated and can navigate the masking rules at home those same rules apply when you travel. It is exhilarating to be able to have an adventure and feel almost normal. It is a breath of fresh air to lighten the anxiety load!!

In mid January I am taking a small group to the luxury wellness resort of Miraval in Lenox, MA.

It's a Big Day!

Finally Packing My Bags and Traveling to Europe!

It has been a long 20 months of dreaming of travel while the world was spinning out of control under the Covid pandemic. We all hunkered down, tried to stay healthy, wear masks and get vaccinated waiting not so patiently for the storm to pass. Now the world is slowly reawakening. It is now time to venture forward...carefully...and go take to the air and visit some fabulous places and have an adventure!!
I, along with 13 other traveling souls, are leaving today for an exciting trip to Italy and Croatia on the sailing yacht, Windsurf. It is going to be such fun arriving in Rome walking the streets and alley ways, seeing the fabulous historical sights, eating the fantastic food and drinking the wine. Then we board the Windsurf for a sail down the Amalfi Coast over to Sicily, around the boot to the gorgeous sights of Dubrovnik, Korcula, Split, and Rovinj. Ending our travels by sailing right into the heart of Venice. What a fabulous trip it is going to be! Along the way we will visit fabulous ancient ruins, hike the spine of the Amalfi, see Mt Etna up close, walk the walls of the city in Dubrovnik, hike, walk and drink the wine from the great vineyards, explore Diocletian's Palace where much of the Game of Thrones was filmed, bike the countryside around Rovinj, and sooo much more!! Ending with time in Venice to view the art and history and sip champagne at Cafe Florian. Oh what a trip it is going to be ...
